It saddens me to share that Cliff passed away on the afternoon of December 22nd, 2012, after a four-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was at home, surrounded by his loving family: wife Gretchen, daughter Mishi, her husband Jorge and their daughter, Sophia, and Cliff's son, Eric. Gretchen told me that he was at peace, quoting Walt Whitman as he departed. Cliff was interred at Woodlawn Cemetary in Santa Monica, CA. The service was private, attended by his family and a few very close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to pancreatic cancer research in Cliff's name. Cliff's wife, Gretchen, recently said, "God knows Cliff loved a party -- so we're going to have one!" We hope you will join us to celebrate Cliff's life and career at one of his favorite spots in Santa Monica.

by Cliff Osmond — A great gift for the special actor in your life! "There is no such thing as 'acting,' there is only life. What the actor must do is make sure that his life occurs excitingly, on demand, within the narrow confines of a script, and in front of an audience." To aid actors in their quest for excellence, Mr. Osmond discusses his Ten Elements in Any Successful Performance, a clearly defined set of principles that enable the performer to tanscend any sense of false 'acting' and move to an exciting performance reality. Part memoir, part theoretical analysis, part practical handbook, Acting is Living is a comprehensive, step-by-step guide for the actor, one that both beginning and experienced performers will refer to over and over in their lifetime of acting efforts.
